Smart Inventory Intelligence

We don't simply count inventory. We create visibility.

Know exactly what you own and where it is — status, location and readiness in one view.

What is Smart Inventory Intelligence?

Smart Inventory Intelligence is the scanning and record discipline behind visible IT assets. Every item is tagged, every movement is logged, and each asset carries a status: where it sits, what condition it is in, and whether it can be deployed today. The output is one register that IT, finance and HR can read without asking.

Service overview

Most organisations own more technology than they can see. Inventory Intelligence turns that hidden portfolio into a clear, structured record: what you own, where it is, what condition it is in and whether it is available.

Barcode scanning, disciplined records and dashboard visibility replace spreadsheets and memory. The result is inventory you can act on — allocate, deploy, recover or replace — with confidence.

Every service here is one discipline of Technology Asset Custody, and the programme that holds them together is MigStore Vault™.

How it works

  1. Scan
  2. Classify
  3. Visualise
  4. Act

What’s included

  • Barcode scanning and asset tagging
  • Live location and status records
  • Deployment-readiness classification
  • Idle and surplus asset detection
  • Accuracy-audited inventory records
  • Dashboard visibility for stakeholders

What intelligenceis not

Common assumptions about Smart Inventory Intelligence, and what replaces them
Common assumptionWhat we hold instead
A spreadsheet is an inventory system.A spreadsheet records the day you last counted. A custody record keeps writing itself after that, which is the difference between a photograph and a live feed.
Accuracy means counting correctly.Counting well once is worth little if everything moves undocumented. Accuracy decays with each unrecorded transfer, so the discipline matters more than the count.
Visibility is a monthly report.A report answers last month. Visibility answers whether one is ready right now, which is the question a new start or a branch opening actually asks.

What changes

  • 01

Immediate answer to “where is it?”

  • 02

Idle assets returned to productive use

  • 03

    Fewer emergency purchases

  • 04

Decisions made on records, not memory

Every engagement runs on the Technology Asset Custody lifecycle — receive, identify, secure, track, prepare, deploy, recover, optimise. See how the lifecycle works.

How an engagement starts

Four steps, in order. None of them need a system you do not already have.

  1. 01

List the asset classes worth tracking individually, and the ones that can safely be counted in bulk.

  2. 02

Tag and scan in one sweep, including the cupboards and drawers that hold the surplus.

  3. 03

Reconcile what the sweep found against what the register expected, and keep the difference as the baseline.

  4. 04

Set the review cadence and the rules for anything that lands in requires action.

Questions, answered directly

Inventory intelligence is the practice of turning asset inventory into actionable visibility — structured records of what you own, where it is, its condition and its deployment readiness — so decisions are made on data instead of memory.
